As the old saying goes, “the revolution will not be televised.” Nonsense – it’s not only on your TV screen, but it will be interactive, too. Revolution, the first DLC pack for “Call of Duty: Black Ops II”, arrives on PlayStation®Network on February 28 – and there’s more inside this collection than you may be expecting.

Revolution offers a heck of a lot of content for both multiplayer and Zombies fans. First up are the four multiplayer maps:

• Hydro: Located in Pakistan, this hydro-electric plant comes complete with a lethal spillway that floods with very little warning.
• Grind: Set in a skate park in Venice Beach (the birthplace of skateboarding!), quarter-pipes and curved surfaces drive players away from easy cover and into intense firefights.
• Downhill: A ski resort in the French Alps, this snowy map is complete with a moving gondola system that can both offer cover and crush you to death.
• Mirage: Located in China’s Gobi Desert, this luxury resort has been ravaged by a sandstorm.

It’s worth noting that “Mirage” is also the first “Black Ops II” map where Domination takes place in a triangular flag pattern instead of a linear one – that is, you can run laps around the main hotel (or cut through it) as you try to capture the three flags at three different corners of the map. You may find this changes up your Domination strategies a bit.

As a bonus, “Revolution” also contains the first downloadable weapon in “Call of Duty” history. The Peacekeeper SMG has the small form factor of a compact submachine gun, but the range of an assault rifle. It’s actually rated two points higher in range than the longest-range SMG in the game, the MSMC. It’s not the overpowered monster that I think some gamers were afraid it might be, but it will likely become a very popular choice for the short-to-medium range specialists out there. And once you level it up along with the rest of your SMGs, it too can sport gold and diamond camos.

If you are a Zombies fan, “Treyarch” has some secrets and surprises in store for you, too. “Die Rise” is an all-new Zombies level that takes place in a shattered skyscraper; one false move might send you right over the edge in a very literal and non-metaphorical sense. The verticality of this level makes it feel unlike other Zombies experiences; you’re constantly finding new places above and below, exploring the rubble, locating parts for buildables, and even finding surprises in the very unsafe elevators. Some of those surprises are good, and some of them…well, just be prepared for anything, okay?

Last but definitely not least, “Revolution” offers a new way to play Zombies altogether, in the form of a new mode called “Turned”. Throw out your expectations for a strategic and calculating Zombies experience – this one’s all about adrenaline. Up to four players can join in; one is human, the other three are zombies. The winner of the match is the person who can survive as the human the longest. A Reverse Gun Game weapon loadout means that the human switches from powerful to weaker weapons as their turn continues; whichever zombie player can take out the human becomes the human themselves. It’s very fast, very frantic, and makes a great short experience for those times you want to play but can’t commit to a long gameplay session.

Prepare to have your high expectations met when “Revolution” arrives on PSN February 28. And look for me in the online lobbies — my PSN ID is OneOfSwords, and I’m the easy target!

“Escape Plan™” is wrapping up the “Director’s Cut” with new content for everyone today. Patch 1.04 also goes live with the new direct controls, and we’re adding new visual stimulation for you costume fans.

After working on the project for over a year we decided to bring back some of our favorite level designs, and needless to say, we love a challenge! This is why the Director’s Cut pack is filled with the most devious and evil tricks that Bakuki ever conceived. Including the Slap-a-ma-tron 9001, and a butt ton of mind-bending puzzles.

Continuing tradition, we have added four new costumes to the dressing room. Dress Lil and Laarg in a new spectrum of costumes such as Timeless and Lost Clause, with Halloweeners and I’m with Cupid unlocked by playing through the 21 Director’s Cut levels.

We’ve also added a new poke control to allow the player to stop the selected character with the ease of a button, as well as adding the directional pad to start the character’s march. Using your feedback we’ve done our best to get the game to be yours as much as it is ours.

Everyone will get the Timeless and Lost Clause costumes with Patch 1.04, as well as the new controls. However, only Director’s Cut buyers will get access to the new levels, trophies and remaining costumes.

“Escape Plan Director’s Cut” will be available in the PlayStation®Store for IDR 48000 with today’s update.

For those who haven’t experienced the touching adventure of Lil and Laarg, you can play through 16 of the zany levels of the original game by downloading the “Escape Plan” Demo currently available on the PS Store. Be sure to try it out!

When we announced “Uncharted 3” we set out to make the multiplayer component as robust and compelling as any multiplayer game out there. We took lessons learned from our summer beta and used them for our launch. Since launch, new design ideas and community feedback have been applied to every patch we’ve released. We’re now on patch lucky number 13 and we’ve planted some fresh ideas deep into the game. Patch 1.13 for “Uncharted 3” Multiplayer has been months in the making and it’s our biggest patch ever.

Patch 1.13 is now available ! If you’re not a fan of reading, check out the patch notes video below to a full rundown on what’s included. We wanted to give you some quick highlights on some of the new exciting content you can expect when you download the patch.

We have unique, brand new multiplayer DLC that will start rolling out to users on as part of the PlayStation®Store updates starting on 23rd August. There will also be DLC that can be unlocked either by earning the necessary in-game levels, completing specific treasure sets, or if you’d rather unlock a certain item quickly you can purchase it in the PS Store. Check out the teaser video below to check out fresh new content we’re adding (137 pieces to be exact!). Some of our favorites are included in this video.

Another major aspect of this patch is that we’re introducing a whole new system to “Uncharted 3” multiplayer. The Tournament System ushers in a points-based competition that has three reward tiers which grant you special in-game weapons or items based on how well you played. Once you unlock a weapon or item it’s yours to use until the next tournament period.

You can buy into a tournament using tournament tickets. You’ll always carry a balance of ten tickets per tournament period but you will be able to purchase more via the PS Store. A tournament leaderboard will be added to the leaderboards section so you can track your skill level among your friends. While all of this great new content is rolling out, we’re very excited to announce that new experimental block mesh maps are coming to The Lab

after patch 1.13 releases. Block mesh maps are maps of colored block mesh that have been designed by imaginative artists here at Naughty Dog to provide some wild and distinct multiplayer gameplay. We’ll be posting a schedule for the upcoming labs in the near future so be on the lookout over on NaughtyDog.com.  

While new Labs, new DLC and the Tournament System are the major elements of Patch 1.13, there’s a laundry list of other changes and improvements we made to the multiplayer experience and you can see the full list of features and gameplay changes on the Naughty Dog blog. We’ll also be updating our blog in the coming weeks the full list of DLC items as they come available in the PS Store.

It’s an insane time for "Escape Plan", as we have a ton of new content launching for everyone this week:The Asylum DLC arrives, Patch 1.02 goes live and the "Escape Plan" Demo will be available for all PlayStation®Vita players—all with today’s PlayStation®Store publish!

Since launch, our fans have chipped in to provide feedback and thoughts on "Escape Plan". All of these little nuggets of advice and tips have helped us to improve and change the overall experience, and so for a limited time, we’re giving back to fans by dropping The Asylum DLC from IDR44,000 to a just a handful of change-- IDR3,000, to be exact.

The gameplay of The Asylum picks up right where Lil and Laarg left off at the end of "Escape Plan". Lil and Laarg travel through a sewer pipe, only to find themselves in Bakuki’s Asylum. This latest conundrum is filled with padded walls, shocking minions, gruesome blades of mass destruction and even more helpless sheep.

The Asylum delivers a ton of crazy content, including the Lil and Laarg Dressing Room where fans cancheck out the God and Luchadore Super Pack costumes, with the Poindexter and Super Hero costumes unlockable by playing through all of the 18 Asylum levels.

We are also introducing 7 new Challenge Modes and 4 more Trophies!

Everyone will receive patch 1.02, which will give them the first 2 Dressing Room costumes for Lil and Laarg and a handful of gameplay improvements, but only The Asylum DLC will open up the new levels, trophies and remaining costumes.

After the limited 2-week promotion, "Escape Plan™ The Asylum" will be available on the PS Store for IDR44,000 on June 27th,2012.
